Biography
Born in Westville, into a cricketing family, Eathan Bosch is arguably one of the most exciting young talents in South Africa at this moment. A fast-bowler who can be more than handy with the bat, Boschy has already been named as one of the players to watch out for by the Pretoria Capitals skipper Wayne Parnell.
Eathan’s father Tertius, a well-known South African cricketer, played for his national team in one Test and two ODIs. His brother, Corbin, also turned to cricket and was part of the World Cup-winning U19 squad. Unlike his brother though, Eathan ended up playing for the Dolphins. He made his first-class and List A debut in 2016-17, and his T20 debut in the following season.
His breakout season came when he ended as the highest wicket-taker for Dolphins in the 2018–19 CSA 4-Day Franchise Series, with 31 dismissals in nine matches. With time and quality performances, he has emerged as one of the key players for the Dolphins. Now, he returns to Pretoria, his original home, as he looks forward to becoming an integral part of the Capitals’ team.
